The jewellery

titanium colours
barbell Barbell-straight bar with threaded ends and removable balls.
circular barbell Circular Barbell-barbell in a horse shoe shape with threaded ends and removable balls
spiral barbell Spiral Barbell/ Coil -barbell circular and twisting with threaded ends and removable balls
curved barbell Curved Barbells/ Micro Banana Bar- barbell with a curved post and threaded ends with removable balls
jewelled banana bar Navel Barbells-barbell with a curved post and usually only the top threaded for a small ball and a larger fixed ball at the bottom
labret Labret stud- This is a straight barbell with a fixed flat post on one end (to be worn out of sight) and a threaded end and removable ball on the other
ball closure ring/BCR BCR (Ball Closure Ring)- As the name describes a ring closed with a ball. It must be noted, it is difficult to insert the ball without the correct tools, you would require a visit to your piercer for this to be changed
segment ring Segment Rings-A ring closed with a segment rather than a ball (even harder to change than a BCR!)
teardrop BCR Tear Drop Ring-As a BCR but in the shape of a tear drop
nose stud Nose Stud- A barbell with a ball, flat disc, cone or gemstone at one end. The bar is formed into curves to help hold the jewellery in place.

All jewellery is purchased from suppliers who have a Certificate of Conformity, which means that all materials used in manufacture conform to the high standards set by the EU Nickel Directive 94/27/EC. We use Titanium (Ti 6AL4V) with a negligible trace of nickel ( Nickel content is less than 0.05% by mass and Nickel Release Rate lower than 0.5 mg/cm²/week) it is ideal for those sensitive to Nickel. Titanium is also "bio-compatible" and is used extensively in medical implants due to its total resistance to attack by body fluids, making it suitable for initial (unhealed) piercings.

When someone is still extremely sensitive to Nickel or for when flexibility is required i.e. For pregnant women then there is PTFE, a non-stick non porous material also appropriate for initial (unhealed) piercings. The piercing you request, what jewellery is required and any additional information you need to know will be discussed as to its suitability for you before proceeding.

Balls and Beads The difference between a ball and a bead is the way they attach to the jewellery
threaded ball Balls Balls are threaded so that they screw onto the post of a bar. These can be replaced with other attachments commonly larger or smaller balls, jewelled balls, spikes, cones and, when the piercing is healed, ornate attachments such as flowers, animals, symbols etc.
beadBeads Beads have dents or holes to clip into the ring of a BCR/CBR/ball closure ring or Tear Drop and apart from differing sizes are not so often replaced with alternatives, except gem set or multidrop beads.

The piercing system we use for Ear Lobes is the Caflon Sterile Piercing system
